Chelsea Shirshac, LICSW (she/her/hers)

Chelsea Shirshac is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Psychology from Keene State College and a Master of Social Work from Salem State University. She completed her first internship in an elementary school and has a strong foundation in community mental health. She works with children between the ages of 3 and 12. Chelsea is deeply passionate about body-based psychotherapy for trauma treatment, and her clinical work is strongly informed by Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART). SMART was created by clinicians at the Trauma Center in Brookline, Massachusetts, an organization founded by Bessel van der Kolk.  Chelsea is Nationally Certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and enjoys using therapeutic play in her approach.
