Sarah Crowell, MA, LCMHC, MT-BC (she/her/hers)

    Board Certified Supervisor

I graduated from Lesley University in 2017 with a master’s degree in mental health counseling and a specialization in music therapy. My bachelor’s degree in music is from Plymouth State University, where I graduated in 2006. I have been part of the C.R.E.A.T.E! team since 2016 where I completed my internship and was then hired on to complete my clinical supervision as a master’s level clinician. In 2018 I received my certification in music therapy and my license for mental health counseling in 2019.

Prior to becoming a counselor, I was a music teacher at a local performing arts school and a professional violinist for several years. The education I received from these musical encounters became the guiding force to my becoming a music therapist and mental health counselor. I have extensive training in early childhood development and specialize in working with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma, anxiety, and depression.

My approach to counseling focuses on the whole person, with an emphasis on individual positive attributes and behaviors, and using these unique qualities as part of the healing process. Combining this approach with music as a guide allows individuals to experience joy, overcome obstacles and uncover inner strengths.

I am also a board certified supervisor; I offer supervision for masters level providers working toward LCMHC licensure, as well as emerging music therapists working toward their MT-BC.

I look forward to making music with you and supporting you during your healing journey!
