  • Alexandra (Alex) Boise, MA (she/her/hers)

I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with my Master’s degree in July 2023. I graduated previously with my Bachelor’s from SNHU for Psychology in 2017 and my Associate from NHTI for Criminal Justice in 2012. I have been with CREATE! For a year as I have done my internships here under the direct supervision and guidance of Dr. Steven Durost.

Prior to working in Counseling, I’ve had very eclectic work experience that has broadened my understanding of people of all walks of life. From Newborns as a Nanny, teaching swim lessons and safety at the YMCA for ages 6 months to adulthood. I’ve worked for several years as a direct support worker with the elderly as well as adults with developmental disabilities. I worked in Addiction for a couple of years at an in-patient treatment center as the overnight support worker while getting my BA. I also worked as a summer camp support staff with adolescents with anxiety disorders and briefly worked as a parent educator and monitored visitations between children and their parents with the main focus being on safety and education of safety.

I’ve always been drawn to helping people and found that my passion was counseling after my work in Addictions. I believe that addressing issues comes from the combination of who you are in your identity in the system that surrounds you, past events, and embracing you as a whole being. I believe that focus being on you as a whole allows us to work together to challenge negative self-beliefs and absolute way of thinking, self-acceptance and who you are at a deeper level.

Come as you are, where you’re at. And I’ll meet you there and sit with you. I cannot promise I’ll fix it, but I can promise you don’t have to sit with the heavy feelings alone. Welcome to CREATE!
