My many years of experience practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker has allowed me to serve adults, children, couples and families who may be facing a variety of life’s challenges. I offer a warm and caring approach and believe that the therapeutic process is most effective when clients and clinicians work together in understanding and resolving life’s challenges. I am a firm believer that given the right conditions, that each person has the potential for growth and healing. My experience working as a clinical social worker, has given me experience, insight and understanding into issues related to aging, parenting, school and vocational challenges. I have extensive experience in attending to the issues related postpartum depression, infant and pregnancy loss. I am attuned to the various burdens that family and professional caregivers experience such as compassion fatigue. I have extensive experience in serving individuals and families who may be experiencing a variety of crises and have the experience and training in promoting stabilization, as well as crisis planning, and prevention.
I believe that the relationship between a client and therapist is built on trust and respect. Reaching out for help can be difficult and humbling however it also shows courage, strength and character. Regardless of your past or current circumstance I believe that each person has the potential for change and growth and, in fact, many will often find meaning and personal strength, amidst some of life’s most difficult circumstances. We all get lost along life’s path, and may need support and guidance to uncover our strengths and talents as we make our way through the pain and confusion
