Melaney Schmertzler, MS, LCMHC (she/her/hers)

At the Center for Expressive Arts, Therapy and Education, Melaney Schmertzler, MS, LCMHC holds the position of Clinical Director. Melaney has accumulated 40 years of expertise in human services, encompassing a nursing background, professional involvement with specific populations such as veterans, and a recent focus of over 12 years in mental health counseling. She has expertise in modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma therapy, and crisis intervention services.

Melaney supervises clinical interns and clinicians who are pursuing licensure at the master’s level. At present, she is not accepting new clients.
